While driving yesterday, I noticed my backside getting warm. It appeared that the driver seat heat was on. Both the low and high seat heater switches were off, but I depressed both of them to ensure they engaged and lit up when depressed. I turned them off, but my backside was still very warm. I felt the passenger seat and it was not warm. At that point, I am assuming a short in the ground for the driver seat wiring. Bently Manual shows it under the center console, but there are no pictures of the ground connection. Is there a wire connector under the center console similar to the connector under the seat and does anyone know which wire would be the driver seat heating wire?
Here's is the manual I use: http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/19...g%20Manual.pdf
Uhhhh, a ground wire that is permanently connected to ground can not short to ground, by definition. The heater are power switched. If one is on, it is likely a bad switch.Swap them and see what happens.
