2007 BMW 335I convertible - I hear a clicking sound in the center console near the IDrive when locking and unlocking using the central locking system on the dashboard near the vent (beside the hazard light). I can also feel the vibration when doing this. Intermittently, it will not lock and unlock the doors.
I want to fix this, are there and DIY tutorials on how to fix this? Is there an actuator that needs replaced, I am assuming there are plastic gears in an actuator in the center console? I am correct?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It is very frustrating......

Hi, the door actuators are working fine. When I click the central locking system on the dash, between the two air vents, the click sound occurs. Upon further investigation, the click vibration is occurring in in the arm rest area, under the arm rest lid.
Is there an actuator under the arm rest storage area. When I use the remote to lock and unlock, there are no clicking sounds.
