Hi, I have a 2003 540i M-Sport that I replaced the right rear window regulator only with the following for $33.45 in July 2017. I am needing to replace it again and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation of a better brand / manufacturer of the part.

Your best bet is to buy it from FCPEuro.com because they provide a lifetime warranty. A stick and some duct tape does a good job of holding the window up while you wait for parts.
Aside from the bad design, the degradation and contamination of the window guides and seals will increase the resistance on the window and contribute to the failure. If you have or had tinted windows, the residue from the glue makes matters worse.
When you remove the glass to replace the regulator, clean the glass thoroughly. I use 0000 steel wool and glass cleaner. Then move the window up and down manually to check for drag. Clean the guides and seals where necessary. Use a soapy water or another rubber-safe cleaner and don't rub too hard. There will come a time when the guides and seals deteriorate to the point where nothing can help them and replacement will be the only way to get your windows sliding smoothly again.

Fronts: Original BMW only, I've tried a few aftermarket and they either failure shortly after or refuse to install/work properly. OEM is drop in once and DONE.
Rears: Can go a few ways. Design is easier I guess. I've have good luck with URO's.

I'm dreading the fact tath both my fronts are on borrowed time... already clickety-noising when the window goes all the way to the bottom... I probably jinxed myself just posting this now... So OEM $$$ is the only way to go, eh? That blwz but I can imagine it bein the case.
