greetings all, I have just been through an ordeal of massive proportions concerning buying a set of brake pads for my 2001 325xi. It seemed easy..just go to Amazon, insert the particulars of my car, and choose from a list of pads "that fit my car". I did this and chose BP781 OEM pads. They arrived two days later and I was shocked to see the giant set of pads in the box. I sent them back, got the replacement set..same BP781 giant pads..called Amazon..had them check everything again, reordered..got the same pads.
There seems to be two sizes of front rotors and calipers on my car..Is this true? and how do we know which car has which brake setup without pulling a wheel and checking? I am going to order a set of rear pads for the front of my car, as they seem to match..Is this correct thinking?
Thanks in advance for help. zym
