I thinking of adding a momentary switch to turn my brake lights on to get tailgaters off my rear. I had a guy in a Range Rover so close that I could see his grill last week. Any one done this or suggestions?
My thought is to incorporate a switch that would flash the brake lights rapidly for 10 - 15 seconds with each press of the switch. This would be much safer than tapping the brake pedal.

That sounds like a good idea, though I'm not sure about its legality. Other members will likely chime in.

I just start to slowing down that works very well
I have done that as well. A bit more dangerous with someone right on your bumper doing 70ish. I used the emergency flasher to get him to back off, little did that accomplish, as he moved on the shoulder to pass me.
