    Interested in buyin an e30

Wats the difference between a e30 318 and a 325 , which version is the better daily drive & when purchasing one now what is considered “good” mileage for the car

318i is 1.8 4 cyl engine, 325i has 2.5 6 cyl. A lot more 325's than 318's. 6 cyl engine is more desirable, smoother and more powerful makes it a better daily driver. The downside to the 6 cyl is it has a timing belt while the 4 cyl has a timing chain. Recommended timing belt change is 50,000 miles. You need to find out when the timing belt was changed and if in doubt change it along with the water pump.

I would say 200,000 miles and under is good mileage.

    No e30s, again :(
but don't not look at ones with more. the 6 is a solid dependable engine. I have had a number of them with over 300k and no problems
    No e30s again.
