On 1991 e31 I haven't started it a while I went to jump it today and she was difficult to start once it started and stayed running it bogged every time I touched the gas. I turned her off and haven't been able to get her to fully started up and stay running.
I considered the problem being the intake I installed but I've started her and she was running steady every time before this.
Could it be injectors
Fuel filter
Or fuel pump
?????
Thanks for any insight
Hook it up to a fuel pressure gauge.
Low battery voltage?
Im pretty I found the problem
When cleaning the engine bay I got water around my plugs.
Rigged up the vacuum with a straw and got all the water out off the banks
Now letting it dry completely
tried starting same results. The carbon filter sensors had water in it letting that dry out as well as the three prong plug next to it to the left. Is there anything besides the ignition coil being wet that could cause this.
The passenger side exhaust is very healthy.driver side is weak and sputtering. It did this before but would clear up after warming a little and giving her a little throttle
Same results. Gonna buy code reader (peake)
Could be some things which come to my mind
-throttle valves need cleaning as they are out of sync for more than 2%, then it goes into limp mode
one of the fuel pumps could be on the way out, check fuel pressure
fuel pressure regulators to be checked, pull off the vacuum hose and see if there is fuel dropping
crankshaft position sensors to be tested, 540 +/- 10% Ohm
