    E36 M3 Tire Fitment Questions

I have a set of Style 32s from an E39 540i. Specs are 8x17 et.20 and 9x17 et.26 respectively. I also have another pair of 8x17s, so I can run either a squared or staggered setup. I'm looking to mount them on my '98 M3 Coupe, with the largest tire sizes that would fit. Currently sitting on TC Kline Racing coils. What is the optimal tire size I can run without having to roll the fenders? Thanks in advance.

Those aren't going to fit in the rear unless you cut off your fenders. Front should be ok as long as you don't run a really wide tire.

For comparison, I have 17x9 ET42's on mine and those are quite snug under the (unrolled) fenders with wide 245's on them and -2 degrees of camber. Your wheels stick out an extra 9mm on the 17x8's and an extra 16mm on the 17x9's, compared to mine. That's a lot of clearance you'll need to find.

My advice is always to just find wheels of the proper offsets for the car, rather than trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. There's plenty out there. Stock E36 M3 wheels are ET41.
