m50 - Crank, Turbo, and Trans Questions

I have read a ton of information and at this point i'm confusing myself.

    Information + Back story.
I've owned several cars but never done much work to them besides the regular oil change and suspension swaps. I have NEVER owned or worked on a bmw of any year. Since i was younger ive always wanted to fully build a stock car and now i finally have a budget to do so! *COOL STORY BRO*. I found a cheap 325i factory 5 speed in Burbank, CA for $540 tons of paperwork original contract etc. I thought it was a great deal. Had a blown head gasket so I began work to machine the head and install the new gasket. During the process i figured well i might as well remove the motor refresh everything and try to boost it. I have a Garrett GTX2867R sitting waiting to be used. Really only wanted 400 but figured shoot higher just incase i want to push it sometimes.

    Above summary
1994 325i bone stock blown head gasket $540 - Removed engine to refresh - Have Garret GTX2867R shooting for as close to 500hp as possible. *on e85. Guess i should mention this will be a drift build and not needed to drive daily.

    Questions:
    1. Turbo pictured below.
Will this turbo work well enough on this motor? It was previously used on a sr20det out of a 240sx.

    2. While tearing apart the motor I noticed marks on the crank pictured below. I've yet to ask the machine shop but wanted your opinions. Is this normal? Ive never grinded down a crank before seems like it would ruin it. *I have not researched this following question.* Would there be a better alternative crank wise for a boosted m50? out of a m52, s50, s52, etc. - Also thought about grabbing the Rod + Piston package

    3. I plan on swapping the trans to a ZF trans any information you'd like to share would be appreciated.

Ehhhhhh that turbo is pretty small for those goals. I think you should sell it and get a 3076. Great drift turbo and can make 400 easy. 500 around 18psi most likely.(that's pushing it though)

First build since you've never really done a ton of performance mods, you want proven stuff. Maybe something like gt35 plus spa manifold. Imtercooler is easy, pick what ever you feel you want. Then spend money on a tuning package, exhaust can be done cheap or expensive depending on how you do it. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Turbo is too small for your goal. I'm not seeing the marks you are referring to on the crank. I see some casting lines and a few dings in the counterweights which are of no concern. If you want to get into it you can swap in the internals from an M52, or M54. Crank, rods, and pistons. You could also just sell the whole long block and buy an M52 bottom end.
