More than two cars at a light?
    Darkness came early?
    Illuminated Moose butt?
Slow day and finally figured out how to use that cell phone camera but forgot how to get it to focus through glass?

The poster is Maine for god's sake.... So maybe it is spring time finally?

Based on the vehicle's tail lights in front of him I am going to say High end Euro Ferrari or a McLearen, or ?

looking at a tow truck getting ready to hook up, in the rain....

(Moneys on busting a coolant hose.)
    that was last time..

    no crank/start this time.....
pulled in to get gas, went to leave........ nothing, first time it has happened. Tearing into it when I get home from work. Taking the passenger seat out to check that bunch of electrical stuff,
checking any electrical on the clutch pedal, and researching what I can check out with INPA....

At least the fridge should be under warranty.
In the 18 years I've owned my 540 it's only seen the "hook" twice.

Went through all the simple stuff so far (fuses, relays, passenger sunshade, and extra ground from chassis to engine), read a bunch in the diagnostic software forum. Going to sync the EWS and see if that is the culprit.

If your plugged into the OBD port under the dash the cap on the port under the hood has to be on.
Might not be your problem, just something to check.

On my 2000 528 wagon, I always have to use the Pac-Man 20 pin barrel for anything scanner related, the OBD2 port is a prop for some movie, or something.

Pac-Man port..... about ready to remove the mustang off the trailer, and get the 540 on it and up to Freeport to the only Indy that sounds intelligent on the phone....
spent hours out in the sun with the lap top and multimeter....
Still no crank/no start. No fuel pump initialization. Fuses and relays good...
Did the ews sync, no change

Check the actual wires on the starter? Mine stopped cranking out of the blue once last summer. Totally stumped me. Turned out the solenoid wire had wiggled itself loose to the point where it wouldn't kick the starter over. And I checked EVERYTHING.

Will your scanner show what's given the OK to start via the EWS? If I access that module with my Autel, it will show the parameters to start. Ignition on, clutch pedal depressed, etc, and it would show when those were activated.
