Hey!
I've just purchased an E53 X5 4.8is and I was wondering if it's equipped with Bluetooth compatibility. I've searched around the forums but most threads seem to be dedicated to cars with navigation, which mine does not have. Instead, I have the BMW Business Radio, which from what I understand, is also compatible with Bluetooth. My car is a 2005 model and based on what I've read, all 2005 models come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity as standard. However, my car is not an U.S. spec model, so I don't know if this affects what I mentioned earlier. Can anyone help me out decipher if my car does have Bluetooth?
Here are the last 7 digits of my VIN:

Thank you!
What options do you have...do you have the premium pkg or BMW Assist (see option codes below in case you've already decoded your VIN?
And you can always take a visual look to see if the BT TCU module is mounted in the AV component area in the left rear compartment in the cargo area. You can see the back corner of the BT TCU if it is mounted...because it is at an angle.
{The Bluetooth TCU module is located below the CD changer in the pic below and you can see a PURPLE wiring connector just peeking up above the cargo floor height at the bottom left of the cargo compartment area}
{if you remove the plastic floor pieces next to the cargo compartment (secured by approx 3 or 4 easily accessible bolts/screws)...it will give access to the BT TCU as seen in the pic below...its at an angle with the purple wiring connector plugged into it}
