1999 e36 convertible top not finishing sequence

Just want to thank all for Greatadvice on my 1999 323i convertible top problems
I just bought this Beauty and car runsgreat except convertible top would do nothing
so with all the postings here I wasable to get most of the problems fixed
New gas shocks for Tonneau, Straightenout Tonneau motor plate replaced front window motor that was bad .
I have tried resetting with unlatchingmotors in trunk putting top in boot and holding down top button andturning key two steps to reset top


all good tonneau goes up then topstarts to lift out back window lifts to allow tonnaue to close but itstalls here
I have tried re sync a few more timesand it stalls at the tonnaue not going down so the window will goback down and then Finnish by top motor going forward to latch


if I unlatch tonnaue motor and pushtonnaue cover down I can then use the top down button to finnish andlatch
any ideas
