Bought a 98’ and it had the original battery in it, odom said either 68k or 86k I can’t remember, the battery in the car was completely bad so it got removed and now the odom says 999999 when it is jumped... any ideas? I still have the old battery that I could put in the car and a battery charger on it to give the car power to check if it would go back but figured I would come here first

How did the odo read ANYTHING w/o a battery?
I suggest installing a fresh battery. Let the car go to sleep (16 min, the trunk light will go out).
Disconnect the battery for 30 min or so. Reconnect.
If this does not reset modules, you'll need a BMW-specific scan tool to do the reset.

Wait wait wait. You mean before hand, the car CAME with the batter in it, when I put the battery charger on it to see if it would hold, it didn’t, I checked the odom and everything else, fuel pump etc while the car had enough power to it to do that, took the battery out, put jumper cables under the hood to check the odom a while ago and it showed 999999. (Still havnt got a battery for the car, waiting for the title)
