    Disconnected battery and.....

Installed a Renown Steering wheel along with a Momo 2008, and coincidently after reconnecting the battery, my windows stopped working....no noise from either side no nothing.

I disconnected the battery twice after that to see if it could “coincidently” start working again, but nothing until I closed the driver door, and THAT window started working again. After this, the passenger side window started “trying” to go up but doesn’t even move. You can just hear it.

I had this issue before and ended up replacing the BCM which fixed the issue, along with the trunk issue I had..but the only issue I have now is the passenger window and everything else works.

Fuses are good. I tried switching the buttons and did nothing.
I don’t see why it would be the BCM again, if the window is the only thing not working this time.
Much of a coincidence? what should I look for or what should I do?

    Fixed.....

I remembered when I first bought the car I touched the latch on the car (picture below) and made the window move down for whatever reason....
So after doing all this stupid shit, in hopes to make it work, I remembered about that latch, so I moved it up and down and it worked!

    Stupid f******g shit. LOL
Pretty worn out, now to see how this can be replaced.

The problem could have been caused by the disintegrated plastic cover on your striker pin.

You could replace it with vinyl tubing per:

If for some reason you need to replace the whole striker, keep ahold of it per:

    Awesome! Thanks for that!

Ill more than likely order the whole piece for both doors, might as well do it now.

Side note/issue: as I removed the glove box looking for an answer, I found that my BMW alarm box was disconnected, not entirely, but the ONE pieced wire was the one unplugged.

Ive been using the key to open my car this whole time. since my only remote was broken (previous owner) and I never used it....but even when I replaced the battery, it still did not work.
i know the red light always blinks when I lock it..but I’m not too sure what’s going on there.
I’ll connect it when I get home and get the remote, hopefully that allows me to use it! I hate opening the doors with the key.
