Anyone have a used 4hp24 4 solenoid valve body?

My adventure continues trying to solve the hard shifting 850, the valve body was pulled again, cleaned and re-installed, and still hard shifting...I realize I can pull the valve body and rebuild it in a few hours, but the transmission is still under warrantee, so I'd like to have the shop do it...the issue being the shop is 3 hours away. I'd like to find a second valve body, they will rebuild it for free, then I just have to take the car down for the swap...


Does anyone have or know the whereabouts of a salvageable 4hp24 four solenoid valve body?

Yes. I believe I may have one. I need to check my parts stop for a shifter as well, so I will pull out the VB.

Sent a PM and a quick picture. It does need a new shift rod, but other than that should be in good shape.

I discovered a screen in the torque convertor lock down solenoid that had a bunch of clutch material in it. I cleaned it out and my shifting was drastically improved for a while, but with my old trans (170 k miles) I think it has filled the screen up again. I think next time I'll just take the screen out.

My car is an E32 750il with a 4hp24, same as yours.

You have to lower the valve body and the solenoid in question is on the top of it. I'm going to be doing mine again sometime here in the next few weeks.
