    Sunroof drains

Wanted to clean out my sunroof drains but my tool won’t fit. I’ve used this dozens of times, it’s 1/8 nylon tubing with provisions for air and/or pressure washer hook up. It’s very small but won’t even start down the hole. What has been used by the masses to clear these drains? Thanks, S.

I've used weedeater string. Here are photos of one of my parts cars with phone wire thru both ends. Not sure why 1/8th of anything would not go thru. sunroof drain back.jpgsunroof drain.JPG

Is that the exit hole for the sunroof drain? That has me worried because the PO of my car had some dumbass of a windshield installer put so much dam glue, it came through the inside and stuck to the headliner. Feel like maybe glue is all over this hole on mine.

Yep. Best pull out the molding and take a look. You can almost bet it's been glued over. Seen it reported here many times.

Please excuse my lack of knowing this, but would removing the trim allow me to somewhat clear the hole with a drill or something of that sort? Or is the hole too far inside that crevice? I will be looking at this sometime this week, its been bad with the wet carpets

I removed no interior trim to access the drain holes. Open sunroof and drains are left and right near leading edge. These are the holes I’m trying to fish line through. Weedeater string is a good idea, I’ll try that in the morning.

What? Leading edge of windshield? There are at least a dozen other places I would have looked, but never there. Seems like this would cause endless issues, but at least I know where is is now. Thanks all
