You know, I was thinking today about how BMW is really trying to make sure people don't perceive the new 8 series as the replacement for the 6 series; as evidenced by my visit to the dealership and talking with the general manager. From this, it's apparent (and ironic) that the one thing the new 8 series actually does have in common with the old 8 series, is that they both replaced the outgoing 6 series cars! I knew there was a G15-E31 connection somewhere!
