    Bmw e46 oil leak

Hello, so I've got a problem as described for my bmw e46 2002 2.0d 110kw. Situation: Was going after work to home, then like after 10 mins were driving to shop, when came back noticed oil on the ground, checked under my car oil was leaking, all oil gone in few hours. Took out collector, there is oil everywhere inside, not sure yet if it should be there or not. By the way when was driving home everything seemed normal, no weird sounds or anything like that. Maybe you folks have any idea where should I check for a problem or it's not worth of trying? Thanks in advice.

There are only a few places it can be.

Check oil pan , timing chain cover, oil filter housing, valve cover seals and shaft seals.

If all of the oil leaked out in a few hours there has to be a major leak. Im betting the oil pan is the culprit.
