Question aout input and output shafts b4 painting differential cover

I'm about to paint my diff cover once the humidity drops back to 70-65%, b4 that I'd like to know if I should be painting the output shafts and input shaft? I thought I should do it once I noticed the inside of the output shafts started getting rust. f so, suggestion on paint type? Never done diff work b4 but since the whole rear end was powdercoated or brand new I'd thought I should clean up and paint the diff as well. Thanks

PJ1 Coatings, but they only come in varying sheens of black.
