going to remove the SLS and EDC, but I have brand new shocks and strut with springs for a 740i M Sport, has anyone ever had that on an iL car, how does it ride ? any drawbacks ? thanx

What's the weight difference between the two models? If it is more than marginal...don't expect the same stance.

I know that BMW doesn't list the coil springs in the part database...but requires VIN and option list selections if you use the BMW database to find replacement coil springs...because it is figured into the rating of the coil spring. Below is an example for my 97 740iL:

I've run 740i springs on the front of 2 previous 750's with no issue, drove and looked very nice. I have a set of 70k mile 740i sport springs now im considered putting on the 750, but its totally stock and rides like a cloud. There is a kit you can buy to cap off the hydraulic SLS system, or rig your own version up. Essentially disconnect and cap off.

Good to know...I'll have to add that to my mental Rolodex.

I know it has been over 6 months since this thread was posted... 740ilDuke, I would love to see any photos of your 750 with 740i sport suspension (struts and springs). Does anyone know what suspension was installed in the 750i v12s that were only sold in Europe and what most of the B12s were based upon?

Also... wilourosen, did you end up doing the swap as well?

Yes, interestingly, when you look at the eibach pro kit application listings, the edc spring covers both the v8, and v12 cars. I have a pair of front 740i sport springs, but I’ve not tried it.

That is hard to find. The springs are based on the VIN. I will say that sport springs have blue paint marks on them. Find someone parting a known sport.

To the other question above about euro 750’s ( even the short i body ) have edc.

Thank you CPHES.. That's the problem I am having. I was able to install BMW ETK but without BMW AG login, I can't search "Options" and therefore no way to find out the part number. I will see if someone else can help. Thanks.
