Angry Frustration Post: Looking to buy an M3 but so many dealers call the DCT "manual"

It is driving me absolutely mad trying to find/wait for the right M3 to come along only to be duped because the listing states the transmission is "manual" but when I view pictures there's no third pedal and the gear knob is clearly the DCT one. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just experiencing my own personal hell for a bit? I'm surprised, too, because the postings I've seen are made by car dealerships, who ostensibly know what a manual transmission is. Anyone have any tips for this issue?

And if anyone is feeling particularly bored today and want to help out, any other tips or links you would give a future M3 owner. I'm really only looking between 2011 and 2013.

Simple solution: Buy the DCT! I did and I’m not sorry. Perfectly rev-matched downshifts will make you smile. Plus, if you’re hands are full, just knock it into auto. If you insist on rowing your own gears, give Carmax a shot. They’ve got great search tools and their extended warranties are legit!
