Having issues with my turbo, when accelerating feels like car has only like 60-80 kw some times better some times worst and 1 out of 10 times when accentuating power comes back like it should. its very weird. Inpa live data shows that that turbo is under boosting.
what i have checked is that turbo actuator is moving freely and has correct amount of movement.
Solenoids are working. switched with egr's solenoid no effect.
EGR cleaned.
Fuel consumption completely normal. Maybe clogged exhaust?

No unusual smoke.
Turbo axis doesnt have bad movement back and forth, has only like 1mm movement from side to side

Whel the intercooler pipes has some soil, but how much is bad, what that would indicate, havnt removed manifold. Should i, though?

Had issue with contaminated manifold pressure sensor. Unplugging mass did not provide performance improvement.

Low power and boost could be from inadequate fuel supply. Not sure if this engine monitors fuel supply pressure and would give a code for low fuel pressure. We don't have diesel e46 in the USA. Gas e46 fuel pumps are a common problem. Not sure about diesel models though. Point is check fuel pressure. Could be clogged filter or bad pump.

What are the codes? You need to scan the engine computer (DDM in BMWspeak) and the automatic transmission computer (EGS) for codes. Also, get the OBDFusion app for your smartphone or or tablet. Then, go to E46Fanatics and search for threads on OBDFusion in which jfoj has commented. He’s the guru. His comment will tell you which interface adapter you need to buy (it plugs into the obd2 port), how to set the app up, and how to use it.

But but inpa shows low boost, and the code says problem with boost not the fuel pressure , or should i still inspect fuel ?
