So my coupe lives outside, and my roadster lives inside. I'm looking for recommendations for covers for both of them. Preferably black. Obviously waterproof for the outside one. Any recommendations?

I have had good lunch with this cover from TurnerMotorsport.com
It is grey in color and fits the coupe perfectly. Very durable, machine washable. Water resistant. I have had it covering my coupe for 4 years (two covers purchased over that time) and they have held up very well.
I mat have a BMW factory one for the roadster for sale soon. Unsure what they go for

I think the best all-weather covers are made from NOAH fabric. The fabric is non-woven multi-layered, made by Kimberly-Clark, and sewed into covers by Covercraft and others. But I think it only comes in its natural color, which is not dyed, and is light.

What are you supposed to do about the antenna though? Cut a hole and sew in a condom? I haven't seen any z3 coupe covers with provisions for the antenna
Grommets are better. Several cover companies offer them.

It would make it easier to get the antenna in the hole if it was the stubby sport model.

I just use a sheet with a hole in it, but am glad I don't have to get the sheet over the old long antenna.

Bump.
Just moved and do not have a garage anymore. What's the best outdoor car cover that can handle being out in the rain (waterproof)? I have the OEM one, but that is not waterproof in my experience and lets rain/dirt through it's material over time.
Probably going to seriously look into selling my Coupe this summer. It just doesn't get driven anymore.
Thanks!
Scott
I got this guy and it worked perfect all winter. My Car lives outside too. 100% keeps things out. Also tabs tuck into the trunk and doors so nobody can steal it if your cars locked. Also Also it doesnt cover the whole car so ppl wont think it’s something $$$ and start plotting. Useful if u park somewhere with parking patrol that needs to see ur liscence plate or something
nvm u hav a coupe ignore me

If you're going to sell it anyway, just sell it now and be done. You think you don't drive it much now--just wait until you have to remove a filthy wet cover and put it back on, and see how much you drive it. The brakes will crust up. The cover will beat up the paint. The humidity will get into everything as the sun bakes it under a wet cover. It will rust. It will develop mold. The battery will die. Kids will play on it. Your neighbor's contractors will lean building materials against it. You will feel guilty every time you look at it. You will still pay for insurance for it. Your wife will be right and tell you so--repeatedly.
The point about wear and tear on the paint job is true, especially if the car isn't spotlessly clean every time you cover it. Anyboby who maintains a mirror finish knows you only cover it after the car's freshly washed.
I took my fishing boat on vacation right after putting a brand new black outboard motor on it with a fitted cover. One short stretch of dirt road was super dusty. When I uncovered the motor, it looked like the paint job had been rubbed out with fine sand paper. The cover on your car sitting outside would constantly get moved around on the cars surface by the wind.
