Have you all found these belts at local auto parts stores or is the size a german/beemer thing? Would prefer not to mail order just the belt...

If you're stuck, 12.5mm is about a half inch and 810mm is about 32 inches. My carquest gave me an XL Gates belt which-surprise-was too large. I ended up ordering the belt online with some other stuff.

Not trying to hijack this thread, I subbed because I'm having issues with my ac belt. I have completely removed the adjuster bolt in order to get the most adjustment out of it but it's still not even close to going on. I pulled the belt sizes off of realoem, the alt belt and power steering both fit ok. The ad belt is a no go. Is there a different size I need?

My owner's manual calls for 12.5x810 which is damn close to 1/2"x32" as mentioned above, which I just had NAPA order for me. Will pick up and install today, let you all know how it fits.
Jamie, without being too blunt if the belt seems too small I'd research the next size up with the same width.

With so many of our cars having replacement compressors it's quite common to need a non standard belt. Most parts stores and certainly any import part specialty store will carry belts in metric sizes. Each size is about 10mm from the next and that's usually enough to get the belt on and tight even if you have to lever it on with a screw driver
