Bmw e46 m3 s54 engine management system ecu computer

Specialist Components Typhoon 2 Stand Alone Engine Management System for BMW S54 Engine

This listing is for a Drive-By-Cable Engine Management System Only.

You will NEED TO SUPPLY a throttle bell crank to operate the Individual Throttle Bodies in place of the BMW throttle motor.
Throttle Bell cranks for the S54 are offered through various manufacturers.

    This Listing Includes:
    1 x Specialist Components Typhoon 2 ECU
    1 x Modified BMW S54 Vanos Solenoid
    1 x Modified BMW S54 Engine Harness
1 x Modified BMW S54 Coil Pack Ignition Harness
1 x Delphi Apex 14 Pin Receptacle (Female)
10 x Delphi Apex 2.8mm small gauge wire female pins (for wiring switchable power)
2 x Delphi Apex 2.8mm 14 gauge wire female pins (for wiring power supply)
1 x Specialist Components CanBus Dongle (for connecting Typhoon ECM to computer for Software tuning)
1 x copy of the Typhoon 2 ECM pin out list

    Condition: Excellent
    Mileage: 2500 miles

This listing is for a complete engine management system and is designed for stand alone engine management of the BMW S54 engine found in the e46 M3 and some Z models.

The Typhoon 2 ecu maintains complete vanos operation.

This system will have to be wired to power the computer, and should only be done by someone who is knowledge on how to wire vehicles or a qualified automotive professional.

All power (both 12v constant and 12v switchable) supplied to the unit should be wired through fused relays. The fuel pump (pin # 6) and fan output (pin # 7) are for ground triggered relays.

This system works perfectly and offers considerable cost saving over supplying your own harness(es) and vanos solenoid for modification, shipping to and from UK, import TAX and UK VAT fees.

Plus, you can sell your harness(es) and vanos solenoid to offset the cost of your project.

This system DOES NOT require a MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor), a MAP (Manifold Air Pressure Sensor), or Catalytic Converters.

This system currently runs and is Tuned using Alpha-N (for naturally aspirated operation); however, lambda sensors can be added for air/fuel ratio monitoring, and the Computer Management Software is available for Download from Specialist Components for tuning.

This system is very user friendly and Specialist Components offers good customer service.

This item will require signature confirmation upon shipping and will be fully insured.

I will not accept returns on the item.

This system needs to be wired into your vehicle's chassis harness and should only be done by a qualified person with the proper equipment (i.e appropriate crimping tools, etc.)

Please feel free to ask me any questions.
