Another Project Car - What to Build?

If you've checked out my build thread, I've made ridiculous progress in a few months on a riced-out E36 coupe that I bought 6 years ago, then left sitting in the back bay of a shop until April.

The intention was/is to build a car with my daughter's involvement/help so that when she turned 16, she had a decent understanding of the mechanical side and I was confident the vehicle he was driving was solid. This same kid reminds regularly that her 16th birthday present is Skip Barber's Teen Driving School at Road Atlanta - a track I've got tons of time on, albeit on two wheels.

I'm having so much fun doing the build - it's rekindled my passion for tinkering with a true driver's car. I'd been numb the past 9 years with two different Nissan R35 GTRs - they're like playing a video game.

The wife has okay'd me looking for another car to build. We had an E46 M3 convertible that she took out a guardrail with, so the only E46 that would fly is a coupe. For the E36, a coupe or convertible is fine.

    Suggestions?

I voted for the E46 coupe simply because I think it's a really versatile platform with a ton of aftermarket options and a car that will continue to become more and more sought after. What are you wanting to do with the new build, track/fun street/weekend cruiser/passenger room?
I own the one that nobody has voted for, the E36 vert, which I love. However, everytime I think about another BMW it comes down to 3...
    Z4 M
    01 - 02 Z3M clown shoe.
    1 series M ($$$)
I'd have a hard time driving or modifying too much, the 1 series or clown shoe though, so it leaves the Z4M coupe or roadster.

Really just a fun street car that could do go to the track for a HPDE or two with some friends of mine. Would love to go with a supercharger; love the linear power output.

My only concern with the E46 is that from what I can tell, they're harder to wrench on than the E36.

I didn't find the e46 to be more difficult to service, it was just much more costly than the e36.

Scored a ridiculous deal on a 2013 E93 with a sweet extended warranty and an Akrapovic exhaust.

Screw it, I say stick to the E36. Fine tune those skills, or something.
