Okay so I successfully completed the replacement of the selector shaft seal to shore up one of the two leaks in my transmission (that was a fun and messy job). The other leak is where the speedometer cable mounts to the transmission. I assume that means the o-ring and the inner seal are no good. I ordered a new o-ring, inner seal and seal housing to fix the issue. When I removed the small 8mm lock bolt, the cable slides out, but the housing remains inside the transmission. I've tried to lever it out with a pick, screwdriver and circlip pliers, and I just can't get it to come out. It will move a small amount (1 or 2 mm) but that sucker is stuck.
Any advice / tips on removal? Seems like a pilot bearing puller type tool might work. I don't want to damage anything. Thanks!

Here you go... Looks like it does just lever out with the right tool.

Thank you!
Okay so I was able to lever the speedo seal housing out using one of those angled screwdrivers and a flat head once I extracted it a bit more. Then it was decision time. I had bought a new speedometer seal housing, o-ring and inner seal, but the bushing that holds the seal and speedo gear in place is NLA.
So, using my trusty Dremel, I carefully cut the old housing in half a few mm's ahead of where the bushing sits. Then I dremelled a few slits in the sides of the remaining housing where the bushing slits are located (but not through to avoid damaging the bushing). A few whacks with a cold chisel and the remaining housing split in half, and the bushing emerged in perfect shape.

I set the new seal into the new housing, and tapped it in place with a 1/4-in 11mm socket. Added some grease to the inner side, then used the same socket to tap the bushing in place. Tomorrow I'll install the unit back into the transmission, and change gear oil with some fresh MTL.
