    Boost leak or wastegates?

    The question is pretty simple.

Is there any proper way to confirm wastegate issues without actually removing the turbos and checking them? Or is it a matter of ruling out boostleak, boost solenoids, vac' lines and such then "assuming" it has to be wastegate since there are no other options?

    I'm having issues with a Tune/Exhaust 07 335i, only making 10lbs in 4th gear WOT, target being 14.5.

Boost solenoids have been swapped, vac lines replaced, checked for a boost leak and didn't find anything. Any other options?

To answer my own question, I ended up pressurizing the system again after making this post. I found small leaks on the block-off bolts for the Meth ports on my aftermarket charge pipe. Thread tape fixed that, but I still wasn't hitting peak boost. Ended up adjusting the wastegate actuator rod on the rear wastegate, zero boost issues now. It drives like a completely different car.
