Hey guys I just bought a 95 525i and my mat that covers the spare tire dosent close all the way like it’s supoosed to it’s uneven from the sides at first i thought my spare was to big but I did my research and found that I have the correct factory size, now could it be that I am missing those plastic molding around the wheel well? Maybe to even it out I say that because my e36 has them
Thanks for your responses

There is a pad about an inch thick that lives below the trim piece. Perhaps yours is missing.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
Ross1 thanks man!!!! This might be it Let me do further research to confirm now that I have this diagram thank you man!!!
Hey Ross you are right thanks man!!! Now I’ve tried
Looking for
That part but it seems impossible to find, do you know what would be a great substitute for this mat?
Try using fiber ( not the waffle rubber stuff) carpet pad material. It usually comes in half inch thickness so you could use two pieces cut to fit. It's not that expensive and is easy to cut.
That should sit just right around the trunk wheel well right? Cus I also I have a gap towards the inside of the trunk(looking at at the trunk from outside in of course) and since there is no support in the back and there’s a huge gap, the mat started to sink in and break from the sides I will take pictures when I get home to it to show you guys

Yeah I’ve tried but here in San fernando it’s hard to find one with and then if you get lucky it’s always torn apart
Wilmed, I have one of them, maybe two, I'd part with one. My son and I both have custom sub boxes in our tourings in place of our spare tire so it's doubtful we'll ever use them again. I know where one is for sure at the house. I'm out of town this week, but we can arrange a time to meet up after that. How's a case of Coke Zero in trade sound?
