Has anyone replaced there front wheel bearings with FAG Bearings? Wanted to know if they're any good? Also front axle nut, Febi $6.19 or BMW $13.04 46mm nut? Wanted to know if there is a thickness difference between the 2 nuts.

FAG and SKF are both good bearings. The Febi/Bilstein nut will be fine also.

Thanks!
So I torn the front end off last night down to the wheel bearing. They are still tight with no wobble what so ever. But I still have a slight shake in my steering wheel. I had the slight shake with oem wheels and now my new Apex wheels and tires. Front suspension is all new, except power steering rack.. I had the front wheels rebalanced and were good.
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated......
Who you callin' a bearing, boy??
All the major bearings are good. But beware of Chinese copies. When I was restoring old BMW motorcycles with ball and roller bearings, the authentic bearings were stamped or engraved with their brand and information.
The Chinese copies came packed 100 to a plastic tube, with a hundred tubes packed in barrels. And the information on the bearings was lightly laser-etched, hard to read. These bearings were then repackaged by vendors for sale in generic white boxes.
The authentic bearings were packed in greased paper in colorful patterned SKF or whatever boxes, with stickers and bar codes.

Well I tore my front wheels back off, cleaned the sticky weights off and tomorrow I'm having them balanced with Beads inside the tires. I will also check the steering shaft...
Tell us more about the steering wheel shake. Only a certain speeds?
When I had the shake at 40-50 mph, it ended up being a sticking caliper.
Steering wheel vibration at 55-85. I just had the front wheels bead balanced and will see how that goes tomorrow, thunderstorms today... If that didn't fix it I'm looking into steering shaft, there is a little play in the joint near the firewall.
Does anyone know if the 99 M3 has the same steering shaft as the 99 Z3M. I found this replacement part on pelican parts 32-31-1-092-949-M9. But it doesn't list anything for Z3M... The Wheel Balance Beads made the vibration worst, so I'm getting the wheels rebalanced with weights. I wanted to know if I can rebuild my steering shaft vs. buying a new one.
32-31-1-092-949 looks to be unique for all E36 models.
Did you ever get this solved? If so, what was the solution?
Thanks!
I had the wheels rebalanced. I also rebuilt my steering shaft with a urethane puck. Much better, but still a slight vibration. The wheel bearings where tight. So I'm leaning towards the power steering unit might need to be rebuilt.

My vote is a bent wheel. Have they been checked?

Wheels and Tires are Brand New. Had the same issue with the stock wheels
The wheels and tires, what brand/model are they? Are the new wheels hub centric?

Look out for spacers with play, or dirty mating surfaces between hub and rotor, rotor and rim...can cause balance issues
