    M20 - e21 mounting options?

Has anyone started making adapters to mount an m20 in a late m10 subframe? Hunting down a subframe isn’t going well, so I thought I’d ask if I had other options! m20 stroker going into an 83 for reference.

There was a bracket kit floating around on ebay for a while. Not sure how much the M20 mounts differ from the M50/52 mounting conversion kit, but a few companies do sell that.

I recently stumbled upon this bracket kit from hik fabrication, made me much more interested in doing an m20 swap down the line. I have never heard of this company or anyone using this kit, so I can not vouch for them. Just by looking at the pictures and some of their e30 products available, it appears like they make quality products with a lot of R&D, but theres only so much you can tell from a photo. I would recommend trying to find some customer reviews before purchasing, as with anything obviously. Link to the product below

You also mentioned it being a late subframe, I believe all e21 320i subframes are the same (early and late). I think the difference was in the control arms. Someone please correct me if i am wrong though..

You are wrong. The control arms, swaybar, and subframe are different and have to match. They changed in 9/78, so 79 models are the newer style.

That looks like the simplest option. Direct bolt in.

Anyone tried these? I’ll be buying a set in the next month, what mounts do they use?
