    E36 rear sway bar

Hi so yesterday my wife was drive the e36, it’s 328i convertible m52b28, and hit a pot hole I guess super hard because the rear sway bar bracket tab on the subframe is bent back and hitting the differential on every single bump and at first it wasn’t so bad but now I’m ready to kill myself can I hammer this back in place or is it done for.

    E36 rear sway bar

If it hit hard enough to bend the subframe sway bar attach flange there may be more damage than what is apparent - Control Arms/Rear Trailing Arm/RTA Bushing.
That said that flange is a known week point. It possibly can be bent back into position, but may have also fractured the flange (and how about differential cover?).
There is a reinforcement kit available from several vendors.

I’ve done a full inspection of it pulled a bunch of parts off and that is the only damaged/bent part I can find I’ve checked differential cover trailing arm etc. no visible or obvious damaged to any parts there. And it’s not bed badly just enough to push the sway bar forward and make it touch the differential and move the sway link forward on its pivotal point

Then the next step is to take the sway bar off and see if you can hammer the bent tab on the subframe back into position without it cracking or breaking. Then you get the rear subframe reinforcement plates welded in, along with any crack repair that may be needed on the tab.

You shouldn't need to drop the subframe unless you need to replace it.
