Stock n54 not building over 5psi. Tried 2 different boost guage to make sure the first wasn't a faulty guage. Can't hear any audible leaks but haven't done a leak test. Any ideas on this?

5psi is base boost. It won't go past 5 psi if it detects any knock. Max stock boost is only 8psi

Ok thanks. I knew the max was 8psi, but did not know about the base 5psi.
Some say...
.... if it's only hitting waste gate pressure then you either have a leak or a bad electronic boost control valve.
