My ‘93 850ci is giving me a check engine light. Its running very rich and idling low at 500rpm. And It takes some time to get up to speed. If it goes above a certain rpm the light will go off but will show up again a minute after. I bought a 20 pin round to obd 2 scanner adapter to see if anyone could read it but so far no one has been able to connect to the car (It may be a bad scanner) I tried the stop test for cylinders 1-6 and i got a code 1235, i dont know what that could be. I know its not ignition coils, thats causing this. But does anyone more mechanically inclined know what could possibly be wrong?
I can't find any 1235 code. Please do the stomp test and check again.
Try cleaning the bank-1 MAF.

Code 1235 does not exist , seems to show up fairly often though.
