What transmission are you running on FI with 650+nm/480 ft/lbs?

    My M54B30 is parried with a g420 6 speed.

My new setup is is gonna reach 650+nm and I need to upgrade my clucth which is expensive and I dont want to upgrade the "wrong" transmission.

    So what are you running?

What transmission can handle this torque?

Getrag 420 will hold a while. ZF FS6-53 is rated 25% higher and BMW put it behind cars with way more than its 530 NM rating, like the earlier M5 twin turbo V8. It’s the best choice among the BMW trans options.

Raj he is in Europe he has different options.

If he is going to upgrade, he should grab a -53.

Yeah I mean if you’re going to buy a nice clutch it’s cheaper to do it upfront before you decide to turn up

420g should be fine. I'm using that with a DKM twin disc clutch. Haven't put it all together yet so I can't give feedback.

There is no reason to upgrade that transmission.

Agreed, except if he wants to go with something stronger he needs to grab the -53 not a 420.

    Ok, well I have a 420 now.

But a gs6-53 is only 1000 USD which is nothing compared the the clutch and hassel.

    What about fitment?

I have a like new (installed on a motor with bent valves and then removed) clutch masters fx850 twin disc setup with the billet flywheel option as well as their sintered iron discs I might part with. The sintered iron discs aren't listed on their site so you have to call them for details. They hold significantly more torque than both the organic and ceramic disc options.
