Non OEM sensors causing car issues

Been replacing a few sensors on the car and am now suspect they’re junk.
Biggest issue is I replaced the camshaft position sensor with a Meyle sensor and car ran like garbage. Checked the codes and sure enough camshaft position sensor code was up no CEL. Checked connections all good tried again same result. Put my $12 eBay sensor back in no code. Anyone experience this issue? Gonna send it back obviously but should I try another Meyle or scrap the idea and go VDO or BMW original? Didn’t wanna spend to much because I’m not sure if my eBay sensor is bad.
The car has hard starting issues when warm and is now seemingly misfiring sometimes at stop lights when the engine has been running for a long time (like 1 hour). Engine rpm will go from 600 then drop and immediately go back to 600. I replaced the engine temp sensor with a JL thinking that’d fix the hard start to no avail. I’ve read cps will show early signs of failing when they get hot. Anyone have any input?

I don't enjoy spending more money on parts than anyone else,
but if you don't want to be chasing down electrical gremlins-electronic anomalies,
as you seem to be presently doing,
and due to the finicky nature of BMW systems when It comes to critical sensors,
I only recommend BMW OE or OEM Replacement parts!

Aftermarket cam sensors seem to be a problem.

BMW’s are not finicky. All car brands run like garbage when you fail to repair them correctly.

Stop wasting money and buy OE or OEM.

I replaced the cam position sensor with a VDO unit last year. No issues.

Meyle is not a good brand... They use to be but now they have almost everything made in China.

Put a VDO in car ran fine but rough to start. Throwing code again for camshaft don’t get it. Could this be a deeper issue like a crank sensor as well?

Reading 140 ohms on sensor that’s “working” and 100 on the new VDO sensor anyone have one to test?

Bringing this back now that I have INPA.
My camshaft position degree moves in a range from about 10.75-12 at idle and when vanos valve kicks in prob about 36 observed when driving. It does vary inbetwen these numbers when I’m driving.
Weird part is I’ve been having hard start issue when car sits for 30+ min up to dead cold. Using INPA I observe cam position degree during the extended crank. Cars is at 0 until it catches then quickly jumps to 78 and then to 12 range and smooths out. I’ve done lots of new parts chasing this all the usual suspects. Anyone seen this? With key in on position and car warm not hot do you get a reading? I noticed when you turn car off the angle will hold reading at last angle it was at running with key in on position.

Do you have any stored codes?

    How old are O2 sensors?

No normal codes stored. Shadow memory records code 225 constantly which says temperature after startup catalyst voltage and sometimes 226 which is same but catalyst 2. This also translates to cat 1 or 2 inneficient.

Post cat o2 are old possibly original and pre cats are both new. I understand the posts do nothing for mixture?

Video on camshaft angle reading 78 before it finally fires and reads normal. https://youtu.be/3b7RL5oPwW0

Using inpa it appears my cats are no good. The post cat o2s switch between high and low voltage when they get warmed up. Could this be contributing to this?
