Hey guys,
Finally had a chance to get this my car back on the dyno. First off would like to thank Nick G for taking the time to stay up so late and working with us. As always cannot ask for a better tuner, its just so amazing how he can manage to produce so much reliable power. Whats impressive is this is the same tune that was done over 4 years ago on my previous motor.
And cannot forget my brother John@Ces, as always he's there for me.
ok now for some details on this motor
Ces motorsports Stage 4 turbo kit
this is a S50 crank
S50 cams
84.5 mm bore
Stock head
for fuel I decided to try some fuel additive that a buddy of mine swears by.
93 octane, boost juice and torco fuel accelerator 32 ounces every 5 gallons of 93 octane.
We tuned until almost midnight last night and finally decided its time to go home. We could have run a few more psi as we didn't find the threshold of knock.
very impressed with this torco stuff.
this was 26.6 psi

Nice, stands up and holds. What's the deal with the dropoff at the very end? Last 400 rpms or so, just curious!
Really late power curve. Slow spooler. Is this still an open manifold? In addition to a 3.0L and stick head?
Good stuff Jimmy. I've been using torco for some time, never had an issue up to 25-26psi ish. Its gonna turn your plugs orange tho. Not that it matters.

Looks like the small engine, stock head lags about 400 rpm in power behind your old 3.2L, fancy head motor. Not a major deal IMO.
That fuel additive looks like a cheap way to get to 105+ octane over race gas, interesting stuff.

what turbo is that ?
Jimmy, guess I missed it, but did something happen to the original motor? You running a S50 now?

100 octane would be one $20 can per tank. I drive my E36 about 8k miles per year. At 18 mpg that is about 30 tanks. So about $600 extra. Seems reasonable for more safety and performance and much cheaper than 100 octane gas. I spend maybe a couple of hundred a year on meth (probably half of that is because I run it in my other car as well). No E85 near me — that is the cheap high octane fuel.
