My active steering works fine, steering wheel angle is also fine, but the light on my dash is stuck, maybe due to a bad sensor. I've tried turning the wheel left and right, with both the motor on, or just the ignition on, I've tried slow driving with turns, long distance driving, it doesn't reset. I have a new battery, and I've topped of power steering fluid, nothing. Is there a way to clear it in INPA, DIS, or SSS progman?
I've tried clearing error codes with INPA, but the active steering light still stays on.
Under the active front steering menu (AFS) in INPA, I get the following error codes: 612c 70 hardware error control unit; 614a 30 engine position angle not initialized
If you haven't fixed the problem, how would clearing the light be a solution?

you will need to run the test plan and re calibrate the Active steering.

The BMW software toolkit you have should be able to scan and release info on the sensor.
If it hasn't failed as 90turbo1 said you're going to need to do the test and recalibration settings via software to clear the code.
I have INPA and DIS, and about to install Rheingold. Where do I go under INPA or DIS to do this? My active steering works, the error light cannot be cleared via INPA.
