There are 2 white plastic lines fallowing the coolant overflow line on the left side of the engine bay, going into the firewall. Can anyone tell me what they are for?

Sounds like you have a euro car and those Two "White plastic lines" are for the headlight aiming system- do you have a smaller drop down panel on the lower dash panel under the steering wheel? When open, it'll have a knob/dial there to adjust the headlights, up/down depending on the load inside the car.
Cool feature to have, especially if it's working.

That is probably correct. It isn't working. Those are fluid filled pipes and the hydraulic pressure is used to adjust the headlight aim for heavier in the rear loads, dropping the beam down to avoid pointing at oncoming traffic.

Thank you both. It is a Euro model and it looks like someone has already removed the servos at the back pf the headlights.
