I've been googling and all the other bmw forums say things like "why do you need studs?" or want super extendo lugs for their 80mm spacers. I just want quality studs since we take wheels on and off so much. So what are you guys running?

Walmart sells them! https://www.walmart.com/ip/20pc-75mm...&wl13=&veh=sem

Until ARP makes something for us, this is all I trust:

I run the Motorsport hardware 78mm joints. I haven't snapped them yet, so they're an upgrade from the junk I had before.
Motorsport hardware, I didn't think there were any other options for drift bois. I've had them on three cars now, never had an issue.
78mm, how long is that? I want to run a max of a 10mm spacer and I don't want them to stick out too much.

I run motorsport hardware also. the 78mm don't stick out much at all. I think I have 90mm rears just in case I throw on spare wheels and need to use bigger spacers.

They say that the 78mm can take up to a 20mm spacer. Without a spacer, Id' say it's only sticking out 2-3cm.

+1 for Motorsport Hardware, they're legit. I've broken wheels on their studs and they held up fine, aside from that they've been on my last few bmws just because of how much better a stud setup is for repetitive wheel swaps lol.
2-3cm is way too far for my tastes. These look about right. https://motorsporthardware.com/produ...ud-kit-12x1-5/
Thanks homies!

I run the big ass Turner Motorsport bullet nose ones, let me find the link. I love them and won't use anything else now

Jesus that's over $200 for studs.

I use Apex's studs:
https://www.apexraceparts.com/access...kit-black.html
They offer bullet and hex nose studs in 75mm and 90mm.

but, after three years the "Dry film lubricant HM-30 coating containing Teflon & Moly over a manganese phosphate finish" is still borderline orgasmic to thread on lug nuts, and the bullet nose makes it real nice for rushed changes as it basically aligns the nut to the threads for you.
ive used Apex 75mm studs since i bought the car. the first time i took a tire off was the moment i decided to go with studs. ive been on the same set for about 4 years now. i run a 12mm spacer upfront and have plenty of thread engagement left.
FWIW, Motorsports Hardware, or MSI studs are what Nascar uses because those mf's are amazing. Higher tensile strength than ARP, better threads, and as mentioned above, the bullet nose makes it near impossible to crossthread.

Godspeed, Yoshi.
Like on Hoonigans, you get the impact with the nut in it going, then slam it onto the stud. MUAHAHA. Poor sh*tcar
