Hi all,
Has anyone tried or know of anyone who painted their molding on the outside of their car. I have an Alpine White 1998 E36 M3 convertible and thinking about changing out the black plastic moldings around the car to Alpine white color. I have a Alpine White hard top for the winter months but i thought it would look good with white side moldings. Has anyone done this or have any ideas?
Thanks
This has been done so many times, for a long long time.
It looks bad. Specially on white. With black on white, you get 100% contrast.
Worse if you color code the diffuser insert. That's the bst detail on the rear bumper. Color coding it makes it looks like a cheap one-piece aftermarket mould.
Tons of pics on Google.
p.s. sweet car. I also have a 1998 Alpine White M3 cabrio.
Edit: found some.
See, this just doesn't work for the E36.
