extreme difficulty inserting leads into fuse box behind dash

Hi all, I am retrofitting heated seats using a loom which supposedly uses OEM connectors. I am able to fit all the connectors except the 3 going to the box behind the glovebox. I am unable to get these in all the way. Is there something wrong with my method, or lack there of? I've tried wiggling, I've tried forcing, and I cant get them to seat to the point that any fuse isnt even going to even touch the leads.

    Thoughts?

Have you pulled out the plastic pin that will allow you to insert the connectors for the fuses?
