You should be able to order a new key specific for you car from the dealer. They just need your VIN on an insurance card or registration and a picture ID. If yours was lost, it's possible your insurance company will cover it. I lost my keys for the E34 M5 a few years back and since the last place I saw them was out in front of my house while I was detailing the cars they actually covered a brand new lock set, FOB, alarm receiver from BMW, plus installation. They also covered replacing the locks on the house since those keys were also on that chain. Granted I have zero deductible on comprehensive and I've had the same State Farm Agent for 25 years but we did get it done. Even the Agent was surprised it worked out the way it did.
