Noticed on my z3 roadster 2.8 that space between tire and rear quarter is uneven on left and right side - car sits around 1" higher on left side even with fuel tank almost empty. Also tire wear on right side is a bit bigger.
Car has Powerflex poly bushes everywhere in suspension/subframe, new Bilsteins B8 shocks installed last year with less than 1000 miles on them since with lowering ACS spings. It also has spare tire fitted, heavy battery (more than 20kg or 44 lbs) and SuperSprint catless sport exhaust installed.
Wondering if uneven height might be just because of weight differences for stock exhaust and SuperSprint exhaust. Anyone experienced the same after exhaust upgrade?
If that's the case, probably getting more lightweight battery or getting rid of spare tire should help, right?
P.S. Don't look at signature pic, that's not the case (that's some drag race run on stock shocks), but looks a bit similar actually

Drivers side sits higher
Your butt in the driver's seat should even things out, but that might be hard to remeasure when you're sitting there.
BB's response was to tell you that it was by design for the driver's side to sit slightly higher so the car is more balanced with you in it.
Would you rather the car sat level parked then was lower on the driver's side while you were driving?

No it was a statement, its designed that way so when a single driver sits in it the car sits evenly, since most people drive with a single driver
I didn't know this about the vehicle, neat fact and attention to detail.
My question, I guess, through what mechanism is that height difference achieved? Springs? Some thing else more substantial? People who run aftermarket suspensions, is the difference still there?
Thanks for replays. Need to measure the difference with me at drivers seat. Probably will need to consume more food to adjust the car height properly.
Could a rear spring be bound ?
Will check, but I highly doubt there are any issues with springs or pads. Passed a MOT just a couple days ago, they should notice things like that.
