This is my first time working with direct injection. I am working on an N63, bank 1 has oil leaks at the valve cover seals so they are all super squeaky clean. Bank 2 is oxidized like crazy and I am concerned about the injectors sealing properly, although I do not want to clean it and get junk in the combustion chambers.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Getting this dirt in the combustion chamber is pretty much meaningless. The injector seals need to seat perfectly.
You DO have the proper tool kit for shrinking/installing the new seals for the injectors, I trust?
By the way, if you have any doubt about the integrity of the engine's internals (like, say, a stretched timing chain). you should know that NOW is the time to purchase a brand new engine from BMW, at a $10,000 discount. At this moment, the complete engine (oil pan to valve covers) is $3000. This will not last!

Chris,
Wait I can buy a new engine for 3k????? What??? I do have proper tools btw.
Chris
Sorry for the hasty reply btw, I got ecstatic. Thanks so much for taking the time to post and for the information. I am a pedantic OCD bastard and I have over 2500 in parts in an excel sheet already so a reman engine is a no brainer.
My guess is that BMW is doing this because the Customer Care Package has ended.
11 00 2 296 776 is the part number you'll need. Try getbmwparts.com or another online dealership.
