Hello all!
I am a bit confused right now, every time I have been turning on my car I have been getting the coolant level low check. So of course that is concerning so when I went to check my overflow it appears to be empty until I screw off the cap. Whenever I screw off the cap the overflow will refill all fluid and it does not look like I have lost any coolant. The censor should also be fine because I replaced the censor along with expansion tank about 4 or so months ago.
It does not appear that I am overheating or anything but something is definitely not working as intended right? I have been driving the car for about 8 months now and it just started doing this. Is this something I should be worried about?
Thanks for any input!
You probably still have air in the system. Fluid moves when you open the cap.

Hm I am not sure how I could have gotten air in the system.
Thank for the input though! I will definitely try bleeding it this weekend.
When the engine is cold, fill the overflow and run the engine, use your hand to run the throttle from under the hood. When the thermostat opens the upper hose will get hot. Keep adding coolant as it drops and watch for a steady stream spraying into the expansion tank. You will see it spray steadily with the engine around 2k RPM once there is no air. It will spit bubbles until all of the air pushes out. No need to open the bleed screw.

You probably have a slow leak and an air pocket is forming, could be simple like a hose clamp needs snugging.

Its low on fluid. When you take the cap off, the pressure is released and an air pocket forms in the highest point of your system as the coolant moves to fill the tank back up.
