I had fallen love with this car and had to purchase it. I bought it in Palm Springs and drove it 1100 mile back to Washington. Great car and I got 25 mpg on the trip. Now that I have it home, I'm trying to figure out what I have and what can I do with it.
I have steering wheel controls for a phone but no AUX or Bluetooth. hmmm ??
I want to hook up my phone and pay music through the car (awesome stereo in it ) here is my VIN B320104
I see that it has : S605A- Telemetrics Prep
S639- Mobile Phone
There is a tray in the center console that looks like it held a phone connection there- missing now
There is no AUX in the glove box and the magazine for the 6 disc is missing- not a problem if I can get my phone connected. I grabbed an old cd for the road trip back... 1000 mile of listening to SHAGGY
So I was looking for someone with more experience that can help guide me
thanks for the HELP
USB and/or AUX in the center console?

Check your VIN as the last 7 characters have a “LL#####” format.
My VIN is: WBAEK734B320104... that's all it says and my paperwork confirms it- I don't see any LL#'s
Yes, I checked the center console like I said previously. There is a platform to hold a phone and under that, is just an open void box- large enough for a wallet and sunglasses.
navtv.com they might have something to add a AUX to it
Maybe 2004 is too old to have AUX and/or USB connections from the factory. Many of the older beemers had phone cradles in the center console. They were two pieces - one that was attached to the console, and one phone specific adapter that snapped into it.
My 2015 doesn’t have the cradle. It has the aux and usb inside the console. My wife’s 2013 X1 has them under the radio.

The 2003 and later 3 series cars (E46 in BMWspeak) have an auxiliary input connector at the back of the head unit. The dealer (and others) sell the auxiliary port kit. I’m betting OP’s car has this capability.
OP, check the VIN on the dash through the front winshield. I’m betting that there’s a typo in the paperwork.
