Need help... Speed activated central locking

Hi guys, I’ve been toying with the idea of building a small circuit which provides the sort of feature most people take for granted and yet is absent on our E31s... having the doors lock automatically when you drive away.

I’m thinking I must be able to tap a speed signal wire, either behind the instrument cluster or the head unit, and build a small circuit that sends a pulse to the door lock wire (maybe at the general module under the glove box) when a pre determined speed is reached, say 10mph or so?

I’ve searched for hours but can’t find any info on how to do this...

Seems like a lot of trouble splicing and running wires for no real gain. Just click the button.
