pls share pics of side view : 255/40 17 rear tire

Ive always felt our rear 245 was a bit too slender/short

wondering if a 255 looks too beefy?

    thx

I use 255/40-17, but they're on the front.

I also have them on the rear of the wife's grocery-getter coupe. They be fine.

    245/40-17 (OEM) is 24.72" tall.

    255/40-17 is 25.03" tall.

I run 285/35-18 which is 25.85" tall. Too "beefy"?

I don't do pictures. Couldn't find one of the coupe that wasn't in shadow.

Thanks, picked then up during one of the Apex sales. I did replace upper and lower spring pads at the same time and the pics were taken right after install a couple years ago. I'll snap a more recent photo to see if they settled some (and I'll use a flash so you can see the tires ).

    Typo corrected.

I agree with your observation, but I went a different direction. 245/45-17 on stock rims and stock ride height.

thats interesting..I never thought of that.....its one inch taller(od)..just calculated...hmmmmm

I think Id rather go a bit wider and a wee bit taller...but not 1 inch

can I see the car's full side view?

Here's a picture from a FCSCC (Fairfield County Sports Car Club) autocross back in 2015 when running stock rims with Dunlop Z11 235/40R-17 front and 255/40R-17 rear.

I've since been running the Bridgestone RE-71R 255/40R-17 on Apex 17x9 at all 4 corners as pictured below from the 2016 Lime Rock Autocross shootout.
