Dropped a weed eater onto the hood of my Topaz blue Z3,really my grandson did. It's next to the center emblem,too deep to polish out.... I tried.I was thinking of putting a racing stripe to cover it, but there is so many to choose from? I guess I'm looking for options or suggestions,possible pictures of others with stripes.Maybe a lite mat-blue to match the blue top & interior or black ? Any thoughts, opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

I've never thought racing stripes looked good on the Z, but of course YMMV.

I would just take it to a paint shop and have it fixed. You don't need to have the entire hood painted, a good paint shop can blend it so you will not see any difference in the paint. Insurance will also cover it if your deductible isn't really large.

Get a 3M film for the front of the car, hood, bumper the works. Otherwise just google for images “bmw z3 with stripes”. You’ll get some ideas.
